The Gujarat Hindu Society recently hosted its annual Bhajan Sammelan, bringing together
local bhajaniks and musicians in a devotional programme that successfully raised over
£5,000 for the British Heart Foundation.

Each year, the Society organises this event to support a charitable cause. This year's chosen
charity was the British Heart Foundation, which provides vital support, research, and care
for people affected by heart disease and related conditions.

The Sammelan was graced by the presence of Pujya Bharat Rambhaktji, disciple of Pujya
Ram Bhaktji, the inspiration behind the Mandir. The programme commenced with his
blessings, followed by a welcome from Society President, Dashrathbhai Nayee.

Throughout the day, devotees enjoyed melodious bhajans performed by local singers and
musicians. The programme was also live-streamed on Facebook, enabling devotees from
further afield to participate. Donors were announced between performances, recognising
the supporters who contributed towards the fundraising effort.

A coach group from Walsall Ladies Mandal also attended the Sammelan. In the afternoon,
the Balkunj Yuva Group was allocated a special 45-minute session, during which the young
participants showcased their talents through devotional singing.

More than 400 devotees attended the event, demonstrating the community's strong
support for both the charitable cause and the spiritual gathering. Prasad for all attendees
was sponsored by Nimeshbhai Parmar and family.

The audience greatly appreciated the devotional songs performed by both adults and
children, making the event a memorable occasion for all present.

In his closing remarks, President Dashrathbhai Nayee thanked everyone for their generous
contributions during the holy month of Adhik Maas and for helping the Society exceed its
fundraising target of £5,000 for the British Heart Foundation. He also expressed his
gratitude to the ladies' cooking team for preparing the food and to the many volunteers
whose dedication and hard work ensured the success of the programme.

The Gujarat Hindu Society extends its sincere thanks to all donors, performers, volunteers,
and devotees for making this year's Bhajan Sammelan both spiritually uplifting and a
tremendous fundraising success.
