Cultural promotion
GHS has a proud tradition of promoting classical dance, a tradition which began with Dr. Swati Raut. She started the classes in the new centre in 2000. The classes ran for over 10 years. Many students achieved grades and became professional dancers. We are proud of having worked with Dr. Swati Raut. We also have our Centre Manager Abhinandana Kodanda, who is also a professional Kuchipudi Dancer. Abhi has played a major role in developing young people in Classical Dancing. This is an important activity within the Society.
These classes provide a foundation for excellent performances, as well as allowing our community to preserve our traditional dance forms.
