From lighting the Holika bonfire\, to playing colors\, to visiting friends and family\, Holi is a wonderful celebration to bring the community together and celebrate the triumph of good over evil. \nWhy is Holi celebrated with Colours?\nOn the night of the Holi festival a Holika bonfire is burned to celebrate the victory of good over evil. The coloured powder – or gulal – thrown during the festival come from the legend of Krishna\, whose skin was dark blue. … The powder also signifies the coming of spring and all the new colours it brings to nature. In India Holi festival is celebrated for two days. First day is Holi\, when people lit Holika bonfire and on the second day\, which is Dhuleti people smear colour on each other and celebrate the festival of colours.
