The centre has always supported activities, which develop and enrich the cultural development of individuals and the community and has over the years developed activities around this. For example young people are trained by volunteers to perform traditional Indian dancing, to perform at various venues for the community itself and also for other communities and organisations. Swati Raut takes the classical dance classes. The GHS centre has also established a classical dance school and attracts more than 40 youngsters each week. Young people are also taught how to play Indian musical instruments, for example, Tabla and Harmonium and over the years young people have been involved in drama productions.
